Sports Going Crazy This Year!
There’s something different about basketball tournament days. The early morning energy, the nervous excitement, the way players lock in during warmups — you can feel how much it means to them.
This year, I was hired to photograph three basketball teams participating in a tournament. The client is a coach based in Buffalo, and both his team and son played in the tournament. The client wanted to update his social media and website with images of his team in action to boost engagement and enhance his portfolio for college applications.
The teams played that day: Canisius VS. Health Sciences Charter School, Lewiston Porter VS. Wilson, and Niagara Falls High School VS. Bishop Timon - St. Jude, at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute - Gym (845 Kenmore Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223).
When I’m capturing a team in action, my goal is to tell a story that the client can use for advertisements and their portfolio. I focused on taking great action shots as well as behind-the-scenes moments of the team.
